Create an Account LoginIf the PIR sensor fails to trigger any kinds of alarm within the covered area (including audio warning, push, recording and email), please follow the troubleshooting tips listed below to solve the problem. There are several possible causes for the problem:
Cause 1. The camera is not properly installed.
Solution: Make sure that the PIR sensor or the camera is installed in the direction crossing the possible intruder instead of facing it. Ensure the sensor is positioned within the recommended detection range. Avoid placing it near heat sources, windows, or areas with direct sunlight.
Cause 2. The environment or interferance.
Solution: Test the sensor in a controlled environment. Walk within the detection range to check if the sensor is picking up motion. Make sure the area is free from obstacles that may block detection. Other electronic devices or signals may be interfering with the sensor. Try relocating it or checking if there’s any nearby equipment causing disruption.
Cause 3: The PIR sensitivity is set too low.
Solution: The sensitivity may be too low, causing the sensor to miss motion. You can try increasing the sensitivity to see if that resolves the issue.
